Silk PLA filament is a modified PLA (Polylactic Acid) that contains special additives to create a glossy, silky surface finish. It combines the easy printability of regular PLA with an eye-catching, smooth look, making it ideal for decorative prints, display models, and parts where appearance matters more than mechanical strength. While slightly less strong than standard PLA, Silk PLA is perfect for artistic projects, prototypes, gifts, and visual models.

Recommended Printing Settings
- Drying Settings (if needed): 40-45 °C for 3-4 hours
- Printing and Storage: Store sealed, with desiccant; humidity < 50% RH
- Nozzle Temperature: 200-230 °C
- Bed Temperature: 40-60 °C (with or without glue stick/tape)
- Printing Speed: 30-80 mm/s (slower for best surface finish)

- Tensile Strength: ~45-60 MPa
- Elongation at Break: ~6-10%
- Impact Resistance (Izod): ~3-6 kJ/m²
- Glass Transition Temperature (Tg): ~55-60 °C

- Moisture Absorption: Low - keep in dry storage for best results
