Brass Nozzle 0.4mm/1.75mm
The Brass Nozzle 0.4 mm / 1.75 mm is the standard choice for everyday FDM 3D printing. It offers excellent thermal conductivity, reliable extrusion and consistent print quality with most common filaments, making it ideal for both beginners and experienced makers.
Compatible with PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, TPU, PC, PA (Nylon), PP, PVA, HIPS and other non-abrasive materials.
Brass nozzles are the most popular choice for FDM 3D printers thanks to their excellent heat transfer, smooth filament flow and affordable price. They are ideal for everyday printing with standard materials and deliver consistent results for prototypes, functional parts and decorative models.
This 0.4 mm brass nozzle is designed for 1.75 mm filament and is compatible with most popular 3D printers using MK8, V6 or similar hotend systems (depending on the selected version).
Recommended materials include:
- PLA
- PETG
- ABS
- ASA
- TPU
- PC
- PA (Nylon)
- PP
- PVA
- HIPS
Technical specifications
- Material: Brass
- Nozzle diameter: 0.4 mm
- Filament diameter: 1.75 mm
- Maximum printing temperature: 300°C
- Thermal conductivity: 105 W/m·K
- Mohs hardness: 3
- Thermal expansion coefficient: 18 µm/m·°C
Important: Brass nozzles are not recommended for abrasive filaments, as these materials can significantly accelerate nozzle wear.
Avoid prolonged printing with:
- Carbon fibre (CF) composites
- Glass fibre (GF) composites
- Glow-in-the-dark filaments
- Phosphorescent materials
- Wood-filled filaments
- Metal-filled filaments
If you regularly print abrasive materials, consider a hardened steel or tungsten carbide nozzle for significantly longer service life.
